Artist | Professional | Digital Art
United Kingdom
I have roughly 5 years of Digital Art experience but a lifetime of traditional art experience having started to draw from an early age. I Have always excelled in art at school and once getting to University I began to mess around with Digital Art.
I now work as both a freelance artist working for clients such as Games Workshop and Fantasy Flight Games, as well as various authors and bands.
I also work for Taitale Studios as Senior 2D Artist working on their upcoming MMORTS game Novus Aeterno.
Interests
Wow what a corny a title, anyway thought I'd update everyone on what's going on regarding up and coming work and the stuff I have recently been putting out. After my recent departure from Taitale Studios I decided to experiment further with techniques I had been messing with a while ago mainly focused around the work of Sparth and the way he creates his images. My work usually incorporates a lot of photo reference and using the polygon lasso tool then painting on top of certain areas but I found it a little time consuming in some regards especially considering the outcome of some of these time consuming areas weren't all that impressive. Using Sparths technique of creating custom shapes I have managed to push my style in a better direction whilst also alleviating my dependence on photo reference without sacrificing realism. I have had a lot of fun with it and already it has had an effect on work offers.
Soon I will be working on the remake of the classic Space 1889 painting covers for the books in the new series which is a steampunk in space kind of style which I can't wait to sink my teeth into. I will also hopefully be working with a good friend on a one off graphic novel she is writing which will have a more loose and painterly feel to it than my normal massive attention to detail monsters.
I am also still working hard on Telikos Protocol and some cool news on that front will be released later on, and in regards to personal projects I have started to finish a painting that I originally started over a year ago for the last Domination War cart competition, I have decided to finish the painting so expect something to show up one day that isn't my usually kind of work.

Also I ave had several requests for a walkthrough and maybe a video of me working and you very nearly got one of them today. I recorded myself painting the image Forerunner_2 but the crappy video recording software I was using corrupts anything longer than 10 minutes which sucks. So I am looking for a better one :ahoy:
  • Listening to: Skyrim OST
  • Reading: Nothing
  • Watching: Game of Thrones
  • Playing: Diablo 3 (or will be soon)
  • Eating: UUUUUUUDON!!!!!!!!
  • Drinking: A strange lemon liquor

I remember the feeling I got as a little kid, coming out of the cinema after just seeing Star Wars.

It was the feeling of being totally blown away, awed and inspired.

I just looked through your gallery and got that feeling all over again! Thank you!! Incredible stuff.

If there's a big blue great sword with a laser coming out of it, then it has become 9001 percent more awesome.
